Its a really good movie. Single mother Diana Armstrong (LisaRaye) takes to sliding down a stripper pole in order to pay for college -- and make a better life for her child. But taking off her clothes for a paying audience is the easy part at the Player's Club.

More challenging for Diana is staying on the good side of motormouthed club owner Dolla Bill (Bernie Mac), avoiding the club's unsavory cast of characters and helping her newbie stripping cousin, Ebony (Monica Calhoun), stay on the straight and narrow.

Throughout the movie, she is routinely seen being inappropriate with Diamond by touching her without consent and making sexually suggestive comments. Eventually, it is revealed that she took advantage of her — raped her — while she was passed out drunk.

Louis that Dolla Bill is not at the club and they leave. The next day as Dolla Bill tries to leave the club, he gets confronted by St. Louis' men, Brooklyn (Charlie Murphy) and KC (Terrence Howard). They beat him unconscious and throw him into the back of his car.

Ebony recuperated from the assault and moved back to Florida with her mother, Ronnie and Tricks went to work at another strip club after they got out of jail, Junior is serving time in prison for Ebony's rape, and Dollar Bill was never heard from again (having obviously been killed by St. Louis).

Containing ugly and gritty violence and sexual situations, it is a movie with little redeeming value.

After Ronnie, Trix and Junior get carried away by the police, St. Louis and his goons invade the club, blow it up and kidnap Bill, presumably to kill him.

After a brutal fight, Ronnie, Trix, and Junior are arrested for their roles in the rape. After getting out of prison, Ronnie and Trix moved over to work at Club Sugar Daddies, another strip club. It's implied the two barely served time and they got off easily.

When Ronnie and Trix are arrested as well, Junior tearfully tells his sister they needed to call their mother. Diamond gives an update on him to the watchers: he was sentenced to life or got the death penalty for the rape and as he planned before, he never got married.
