Famke Janssen is indelibly over-the-top as Xenia Onatopp, a Russian assassin who gets excited by pain both giving and receiving it. Izabella Scorupco is Natalya Simonova, the Bond-bonding beauty whose knowledge of Russian computer systems is crucial to stopping the bad guy's worlddomination plans. Clearly, these are not your 1 standard, decorative Bond babes. And, hopefully, their '90s attitudes and well-developed personalities will help keep the ac- tresses on casting directors' minds more so, anyway, than the forgotten, bikini-clad co-stars of most previous films in the series.
