Omg! This book was sad, confusing, happy and unexpected. Maddox is a rockstar and he’s gorgeous, sexy, kindhearted and he’s been in love with Sky since high school. There timing was always off but their love and friendship was undeniable. Maddox had a girlfriend who cheated on him and Sky saw her cheating. Sky was engaged to Jarrod and he told her to mind her own business. She didn’t want to hurt Maddox so she kept it to herself, for the moment. But when unforeseen events has Maddox running back home to support Sky, the sh*t hits the fan in the most unexpected ways. I was holding my breath, I clutched my Kindle and got misty. I was so emotional. I wish I had read the books before this one because I don’t really know the other players and they all sound so adorable. This book stands alone but I am going to reads the other books, the guys sound too awesome to pass up. I finished this book in one day, it was fabulous and I highly recommend it. Now it’s on to book one!

Sonnets in the Sky is book 5 in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series. Even though I haven’t read the other books in this series I didn’t struggle to keep up with the story line, this friends to lovers romance is full of every emotion and left my heart full. Maddox and Sky’s story is not easy but worth every page. It makes me want to go back and read the other 4 books. Definitely a 5 star ⭐️ read.

This is a first read for me by this author and I very much enjoyed this story. The book flows and the characters had me liking them alot.

How have I missed this brilliant series? I am kicking myself that the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series has only just fallen onto my kindle. If Sonnets in the Sky is anything to go by this has been one hell of series to read. Like a moth to a flame, this story sucked me straight into the light and wouldn't let go, even when Sky and Maddox's story ended. Sonnets reached inside me captivated me. I am issuing a full box of tissue alerts with this one, I guarantee that you will be sobbing into the whole box. You Charli B. Rose are a new author to me, but I love your writing style and your storyline was unique. I can't recommend this book enough.

Best friends since childhood, Maddox and Sky have loved each other forever, but one brief moment as teenagers ended before it began. Sky's father never thought Maddox the foster boy was good enough for his daughter. Now years later they are still best friends, Maddox settled down sort of and Sky just engaged, but the friendship is as strong as ever much to the disappointment of their partners. Sonnets in the Sky is a very emotional read, and I experienced a plateau of feelings. They are so many twists and turns, ups and downs that you really can't put down the story until the end. This is a story that once started grips you until the end.

Sonnets In The Sky , is a best friends to lovers / second xhance romance . It is also the first book I have read By CHARLI B.Rose . I will absolutely be adding her to my list of new favorite authors . I pretty much went into this book with a open mind as I wasn’t sure what to expect , but by the end of the first chapter , I was hooked , I found myself completely invested in what I could tell was going to be a emotional read that was not going to let go of me . Maddox and Skys story , is one huge roller coaster ride . My emotions were all over the place from one minute to rhe next .There were moments when I found my self cheering them on , and others when I found myself crying with a box of Kleenex in my lap . There was so much push and pull between Maddox and Skye , I would get so frustrated because you could clearly see they were in love with each other , but the timing was never on their side .I am someone who loves Amsty romances / this was all that and so much more .There are many twists and turns , as well as moments full of heartbreak , as well as Tragedy before they finally give into their feeling and find their was to bask to each other , and maybe just maybe , get their happy ending . But your going to have to grab this phenomenal romance and find out for yourself . I Guarantee you will not be sorry .

Sonnets in the Sky is the first book I've read by Charli B. Rose. It was a fun, if somewhat predictable, friends to lovers, second chance romance. I saw the reveal about what happened in Vegas a mile away and also how the relationships Maddox and Sky were in were going to end opening the path for them to be together. I didn't see some parts coming but once they happened I could predict the course of consequences after. I increasingly didn't like Sky's parents, especially her dad whose behavior and attitude at the end didn't feel genuine but wrapped up in a tidy bow. Some of his behaviors were abhorrent and felt like it needed a little more resolving before getting to where they were in the epilogue. I did, however, love Maddox and his sweet, loving self and I liked how Sky grew stronger as a person throughout. Overall Sonnets in the Sky was fun but predictable.

This is a Second Chance/Friends-to-Lovers Romance that I could not put down.

From love, to sadness, to wanting to throw your tablet against the walls, this author has you feeling all the feels in Maddox and Skys story. Now I will admit that it was hard for me to get into this book at first. I don’t like seeing my H and h with OP, I really don’t. But thankfully its downplayed and we don’t get all the details that would make the reader question if they’re truly in love because if anything it was the complete opposite. Throughout the whole story I never once questioned if the H and h truly loved each other because I knew that they did. Hands down the H and h were each other’s soul mates. It was just annoying to have wait for them to admit it to each other when it was obvious to anyone who had eyes that they should be together and finally get the HEA they both deserved. So yah, this book has its ups and downs but overall it was a pretty good story that I would add to my shelf and reread again.

Sonnets in the Sky is a sweet best friends to more to second chance romance. Maddox and Sky have been friends for a very long time. They both wanted more, but there was interference. They have moved on, or so they thought, but neither were ever ready to let go. When the unthinkable happens, Sky sees the true colors of those closest to her, both good and bad. I really, really enjoyed this book! This couple is right up there with Dawson and Izzy for me. The characters are awesome (most of them). I think I disliked Sky's father and mother the
most. Though they kind of redeemed themselves. The writing as always is wonderful, the chemistry jumps off the page and the descriptions have you right in the thick of it. Be warned, you will need tissues for a few ugly cry moments. There is some very real heartbreak, but the author did a wonderful job of putting me back together again. Awesome read! I was given the opportunity to read a copy of this book.

I truly believe that the books making their way to my kindle have really punched me in the feels because I'm emotional a lot (and that's not me whatsoever) & my tissues are running out quickly. That shows that authors are really leveling up their angst game, and Charli B. Rose is in that group for sure. She's a new to me author (not sure why), and I'm in love with her writing style despite the fact she made my eyes go rogue and leak. Sonnets in the Sky had a push & pull situation going that hurts so good as I was finding it hard to breathe from the emotions seeping out of my kindle for Sky & Maddox. They've been best friends since they were young, and while they're with other people, there's no doubt that they're made to be together but it's not as easy as it sounds at all. This story was everything, and since I have to go & read all the previous books I'll just leave it at that. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sky and Maddox's story may be my favorite one yet. The author never takes the easy road. The story is full of angst, twists, turns and surprises that honestly made me upset for a bit. Tears were shed, thoughts of throwing a kindle came up. In short - I loved it.

I can't tell you much about the story other than nothing is simple. Take nothing for granted. Things may seem quiet, slow and predictable, and then the author flips the script and you sit there stunned.
One of my favorite parts of reading is when I am surprised - and this book did it.

While you can read this as a stand alone, you will enjoy it SO much more if you read the other books, as Maddox is part of a rock band and the characters interplay frequently in the stories. It is worth the time to go back to the beginning with this series.

This is the 5th book in this series, and yes it is a stand alone and yes you can read it and won’t be lost, BUT, this entire series is breathtakingly beautiful filled with colorful characters that you will fall in love with. Do not miss out on this one.

Everything special about book except the premise in Las Vegas. That was not too plausible. It doesn't spoil book. Maddox is pretty special. I'd love a best friend like him....oh, that's right I married him. Awww.

I really, really enjoyed this book! There was so much emotion and it was so well written that you can't help but feel it so deeply. I loved Maddox! What an amazing guy he was. You could tell he had such strong feelings but wasn't sure how to go about them. Sky, man I really felt bad for her. What she had to go through was tough! She had such chemistry with Maddox that I wish she had acted on it sooner. I did love the angst though, of them dancing around the inevitable. I was invested in the story from the very beginning and was surprised by quite a few twists. I thought it was very well done and beautifully written. I would definitely recommend it and would love to read more from this author!

I love this series!! I have adored all the books so far but I think that Maddox have a my favorite. He has such a heart of gold and his love for Sky is untouchable. From the first meeting in school when she gave him her pudding and torturing one another as being best friends when they loved each other more than that. It broke my heart when Sky’s sister died but they both loved Amelia so fierce from the get go. My heart did the happy dance when they finally figured out that there happily ever after was with each other. Fantastic job Charli.

Their story unfolds with Sky planning on marrying a man her dad though was best, because Mad got married in Vegas... She knows things are not how they’re supposed to be, because she loves Maddox. When tragedy strikes Mad knows he needs to be there for Sky, he also knows he is causing her pain with her family. Through the twist and angst this second chance romance end with their HEA. I recommend start at the beginning so you know who everyone is in the story.

This is my first book by Charlie B Rose and it definitely won't be the last.
It is the 5th book in a series but I found it easy to read not have read the rest and it certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story.

Maddox and Sky are lovely characters and I so enjoyed my journey with them despite the number of tissues I got through while reading the second half of the book.

Maddox and Sky are both involved with others even though the feelings have been there for years but the timing was never right. These two have many twists, turns and a tragedy before they get what life really had planned for them. Charli's writing flows that you just can't get enough. I loved this couple so much! Can't wait for my next read from her!!!

Another amazing story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Maddox and Sky's story. Their love was so sweet and also hot! I really love this group of guys and their women. You never know what's coming next! Can't wait for Wilder's story and Jett's story! That's what I love the most about this series, all the twists and turns, the unexpected and the drama! You never know what's going to happen. Highly recommend this series to any one who loves a good rock star romance!

Amazing Read

I absolutely love Sky and Maddox's story even though some parts had me ugly crying. Love the journey they take to find their happiness with each other.

Such anal amazing book

I swear I felt ever emotion these characters did. It was a heartfelt book. This book will not only have you in your feels but it will also have you hot and bother to mad wanting to punch a character! I'm almost speechless trying to write this review. All I can say is this book needs to be experienced. You just have to read it and you will know exactly what I mean!
Overall an amazing book. And once again I can't wait for the other band mate's books to come out!

A long lasting love

I loved this love story. Maddox and Sky are the perfect example of soulmates. Their love starts early, morphs into best friends and finally they both come together in a time of tragedy. I love this series and hope Wilder's story is next. I loved all the references to other characters from other romance novels, many of which I have read. This author weaves a thread of love throughout her books and the characters will stay with you forever.

Nice romance

I felt that they took too long to get their act together with all the negative thoughts. It was finally resolved but it was long in coming. I hope he's not out of the band. I didn't care for that at all. Its his dream and his job. Guess I got to hope it gets resolved.

But the ending left me hoping she didn't take him from the band.Still have no answer. On to the next book.
