During the pandemic, Jenn Levo was staring out her window when she had a moment of inspiration. Living in Gilchrist State Forest in Oregon, her home is surrounded by pine trees. And she became fixated on the many unique differences between each and every one of them.

“Some are tall, some are short some are big and thick some are tiny. Some are just wee little saplings, and some are maybe even old or missing branches,” Levo said. “I was struck by that diversity and the community that diversity creates.”

It reminded her of people and the diversity we exhibit. It reminded her how we all have different physical traits and qualities, and different identities and personalities.

So, she started drawing. And the design she came up with became the graphic image for Hydro Flask’s new, limited-edition “Let’s Go Together” collection.

The collection includes an insulated 24-ounce wide mouth water bottle ($50), a 20-ounce tumbler ($32), and also a 12-ounce mug ($32).

Hydro Flask Commits $25K to Outdoorist Oath: Let’s Go Together

Hydro Flask made the Let’s Go Together Collection in partnership with the Outdoorist Oath. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to improving access and diversity within the outdoors. Those who have taken the “oath” commit to “the planet, inclusion, and adventure.” It’s the hub for a community of people who care about the outdoors and want to build a better future for it.

Hydro Flask has likewise said it is committed to those goals. Through its Parks For All Initiative, Hydro Flask donated $25,000 to the Outdoorist Oath organization. The brand wants to help make the outdoors a more inclusive place —one that celebrates all the unique individual traits of each and every person.

Founded in 2022 by Teresa Baker, José González, and Pattie Gonia, the organization has reached north of 2,268 people. According to its website, it provides a “way of being and doing.” It encourages people to think about how the planet, inclusion, and adventure intersect, and how we all fit into that picture.

“It’s not time to burn it all down,” said co-founder José González. “It’s time to prescribe burn what we inherited that no longer serves us in the outdoors.”

Parks for All!

The Hydro Flask Parks for All program has benefited nonprofits focused on improving parks such as the Outdoorist Oath since 2017. In its 6 years, it’s supported over 200 nonprofits, each of which focuses on building, restoring, and expanding equitable access to parks. To date, Parks for All has donated almost 80,000 water bottles and $3.1 million.

Even more impressively, the program has restored more than 2,000 miles of trails. It also removed in excess of 73,000 pounds of trash from the wilderness.

“We acknowledge the past and present exclusion from outdoor spaces faced by People of Color and other historically marginalized communities, including womxn, LGBTQIA2S+, and Disabled people.” The Hydro Flask Parks For All webpage reads. “Parks for All is our way of sharing the love we have for green spaces, ensuring these special places get the attention and protection they deserve, and are accessible to all.”

The Hydro Flask Let’s Go Together collection, and its $25,000 donation to the Outdoorist Oath, is the latest iteration of that goal.
