How to get to light elf outpost God of War? ›

It is a late-game side area, and should be attempted only when you have reached at least level 4. You can find it in the north west of the Lake of Nine, nearby the Forgotten Caverns. Just a few steps off shore, you'll run into a Level 5 Ogre and a few Draugr.

Once you reach the very top of the area, take the path on the left to reach a crystal that you can carry. Take this crystal to the right path and up to the ruins, where you can place the crystal on the pedestal. Shoot the crystal that you have just placed down, and then look up.

If you look above you to the left and right, you'll find two light crystals you can shoot so Atreus can make two light bridges. Keep moving forward until you see another climbable wall and a chain you can knock down to a lower area. Ignore the chain for now, but if you look ahead, you'll see the C-shaped rune.

Hop back in the canoe and paddle straight back across the lake all the way to the southeast corner to find the Light Elf Sanctuary. Handle the draugr and tatzelwurms waiting for you. Keep to the right and follow along until you come to a switch and a gap.

To start this quest, talk to Beyla and Byggvir at Freyr's camp at the end of the main quest "The Reckoning." Once the conversation is over, head to Alfheim using a Mystic Getaway and go to The Barrens region. There you will see a sealed door that you can open by using Kratos' chisel on the blue seal shown below.

Find the Elven Cap (Alfheim)

Specifically, it's found in The Forbidden Sands, which is the North-Western part of the desert that you can unlock access to from The Barrens using a Runic Slate.

Defeat the enemies up the top of the ramp and open the chest for a Light Runic Attack called Strike of the Utgard. Then turn to the doors and look up - there's a hanging crystal and, above that, a disc in the chain that you can hit with a throw of your axe to drop it down.

The most important thing to know when facing a Dark Elf is to avoid their sparkly-red bombs. These will explode after a short time and blind Kratos if he is still near them. Thus, Kratos need to prioritize rolling out of the way of the bombs, since not doing so will leave him in a bad position.
